Minister of Transport Fikile Mbalula introduced yesterday that the airports had met the requirements of the SA Civil Aviation Authority and would be capable of resume flights. By the tip of July, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol will serve between 55,000 and 70,000 passengers and handle about 600 flights every day.
Qatar Airways will also resume its weekly Guangzhou service from 26 July. By the top of July, the airline’s network will increase to over 450 weekly flights to greater than 70 destinations. TAV Airports has mentioned that its airport network, led by Turkey, is now “principally reopened to international site visitors”.
Its operations in Georgia (Tbilisi and Batumi), already partially open, will resume activity absolutely in September.
